The Third Eye chakra, aka the sixth chakra, is located between the eyebrows on the forehead and connects us to our visualizations, deep inner wisdom, and truth. It represents our deepest consciousness and guidance. The sixth chakra allows clairvoyance, the ability to see clearly, and imagination while tapping into our psychic abilities. It is the point in which we perceive, store, create, and project on ourselves and those around us - it is, essentially, a gateway to the Soul.
In the center of your forehead, you can imagine your Third Eye to be open, clear and ready to receive what it is the world around you is showing you. However, during times of experiencing blocks, you can visualize a dark, sunglass type lens over your eye, altering your perception. Blocks have been said to be related to physical reactions such as headaches and compression, sinus issues, vision problems and insomnia. By opening the Third Eye, we find a deeper connection to our Soul, giving room for clear intuition, imagination and creativity; we are able to be open to our inner guidance continuing us on the path of purpose.

Be open to experience, and allow the truth of intuition to guide you. When experiencing signs of blockages in this chakra try these 3 things out:
1. DREAM JOURNAL
Your dreams are a gateway into deeper thinking and beliefs. They are a way for your energetic body, your Soul, to channel information to you. Before starting your day, take a few moments and try to remember your dream. Keep a journal by your bed to make writing down your dreams and keeping track easier. What is the pattern? If you do remember your dreams, use this as a way of unveiling an inner story needing to be told.
2. RE-PLAY YOUR DAY
Have a hard time falling asleep? Is your mind racing because of everything you have to do or the amount of things you’re worried about in your day to day. Stop and breathe. Use techniques to quiet your mind as you doze off and to decrease anxiety. Replay your day, thinking back on everything you accomplished (even if it means taking a day for yourself), or slowly count your inhales and exhales, keeping a steady pace and focus on your life force.
3. TURN JUDGEMENTS INTO ACCEPTANCE
Ever feel like you’re critiquing someone or something too much? Maybe a little negativity? Notice when this happens and try to understand your point of view and where it might stem from rather than projecting something on others. We are taught to collect and store these ways of thinking, but most times these judgements don’t align with our Soul.
